Grocery Deals That You Should Snag This 4th of July

Every 4th of July is different and there are as many celebrations around this time as there are fireworks and barbecues. Families get together, people gather for beach concerts, friends fly from all across America to visit each other so everyone’s busy prepping for the long weekend.

If you’re playing host for this year’s Fourth of July reunion or you’re simply looking to score best deals on groceries, then happy shopping! Here are some of the groceries offered at discounted prices in advance of Independence Day.

Meats
If you’re not hearing that grilling sizzle, wait a while. Grocery retailers like Kroger, Albertsons or Winn-Dixie are just firing up this week’s ad deals on meat cuts. So power up that freezer in the garage and consider stocking up on your favorite meat cuts.

For best grilling and least expensive options, choose chuck steak, which is a very versatile cut of beef that cooks easily with good instructions. Look for best recipes online and opt to marinate the meat first for enhanced flavor. Low and slow grilling is recommended.
You can also stock up on chicken breasts, ground pork sausages and ground turkey, all suitable to freeze up to one year.

Beverages
Whether alcoholic or kids friendly, there are few other perfect opportunities to purchase beverages at discounted prices than the 4th of July celebration. What retailer won’t want to give people a chance to lavishly spend their hard earned money this holiday too?

And if it’s hard earned, then you too should make the most of your paycheck and look to buy from those retailers that put out genuine promotions, generally including very reasonable prices for drinks bought in cases or in bulk. Since festive cocktails are in season, some of the drinks to buy now are vodka, schnapps, bourbon, tequila and rum. Soft drinks for kids all the way.

Ice Cream
Well if it’s the 4th of July, then it’s BBQs, and then it’s definitely ice cream desserts too. Unless you’re going more traditional and opt for apple pies or strawberry’s shortcakes, in which case skip this one. But really, who wouldn’t want a little cool, red, white and blue treat for the 4th of July?

Ice cream is probably among the most popular groceries around this time of year and retailers are offering their best choices at good bargains so why not stock up for the weekends ahead too? Consider all the ways you can serve ice cream: make ice cream sandwiches, ice cream cakes, sundaes, pies, parfaits and the list only gets longer.

Condiments
You need the grill to cook a steak but you also need good condiments. And if you’re planning on barbequing a lot this summer season, then the 4th of July grocery sales are a good opportunity to restock your pantry.

Look for prices dropping on BBQ sauces, mustards, ketchup and spices the days before the holiday weekend. You might score excellent deals on upscale mustard brands, and what better way to complement a burger or a hot dog meal if not with America’s second most used spice? What’s number one? Why, it’s peppercorns of course.

Snacks
Many goodies fall into this very particular grocery category, but what usually goes on sale the week before Fourth of July are potato chips, crackers, and cookies. And there is plenty of variety when it comes to favorite options.

Chips from most popular brands won’t be the only ones to worth their salt this Fourth of July so if you’re a potato chips aficionado but more into regional brands than into Lay’s, then look for deals at your local grocery or look up online offers for Utz and Zapp’s.

What to use in the kitchen, Nutri Ninja or Nutribullet blenders?

Nutribullet is now one of the top smoothie makers, and on the wish list of many customers.

The Nutri Ninja Auto IQ has the most power at 1,000 watts, but the Nutribullet 900 has the largest jug capacity.

Nutribullet 900
- 600-watt motor that produces HIgh Torque
- Includes 1 tall cup, 2 short cups, 1 flat blade and 1 emulsifying blade, 2 re-sealable lids, pocket nutritionist and manual with recipes. Some great deals for blenders I have found in the Costco Ads. Costco is a warehouse club, only open to members and their guests.

Nutri Ninja
- 600-watt motor that produces High Torque
- strong processing with strong blades made up of stainless steel that can cut easily

Both blenders are easy to use, and produce great smoothie. The cups are safe to use in dishwashers and are BPA free.
